Indicated is a possible fairy fort on a high Mayo ridge, its circular form clipped by a road that respects the curve rather than breaking it. The western scarp drops twice into a level pasture where a narrow depression bends like a forgotten path, suggesting a place shaped for movement and memory. It remains visible because the land still holds the boundary, even when the name resists explanation.

In pasture, located at the break of slope on a rise on the top of a high ridge, with very good views in all directions. This possible rath is shown on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps as a roughly circular enclosure (diam. 25-30m), clipped on the E arc by a road that respects the curve of the enclosure. The remains comprise a roughly D-shaped area (c. 30m N−S; 21.6m E−W), bordered on the straight side at E by the road. The W half of the enclosure is defined by a scarp (H 1m; Wth slope 2-3m) which curves SW−NW, petering out at N; the scarp is cut into a natural slope. The scarp drops to a terrace or berm (Wth 2m) from which there is another drop or scarp (H 1.2m). The NE−SE arc of the enclosure has been truncated by the road. The interior is level. In the N half there is a narrow grassed-over depression (Wth 1.5m; D 0.5m) which extends for 4.2m to NNW, then turns to WSW for 6m, expanding in width (Wth 2.4m) and ending close to the scarp at NW.
