What is recorded here

No human eye saw the building, no hand laid the last stone, no footprint pressed the soil. The ground itself drew the circle, perhaps water moving under pasture, perhaps forgotten life redirecting rain. What is certain is shape: a curved line in wet grass, unowned and unmapped. Certainty is not needed to witness. The chamber is complete. The candidate is finished. The system is clear.

In wet pasture, 75m W of a field boundary running N-S. Enclosure (LI033-062002-) lies 50m to NE. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Curvilineaer cropmark identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 125.01; AP 4/3631) as a possible enclosure. Visible as a faint cropmark truncated by a field drain running NW-SE on OSi orthophotos taken between 2005-12. Not visible on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/09/2020. Doubtful antiquity could be the remains of a watercourse rather than an archaeological enclosure. See attached Google Earth orthoimages and Bruff image showing monument labelled Bruff 125.01.
