What is recorded here

Situated on a gentle W and NW-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 27.5m E-W; 25.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at N: Wth 3m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 1.6m) with an outer fosse (at N: Wth 0f base 3.9m; D 1.3m) and external bank (at N: Wth 2.6m; ext. H 1.2m). The external bank is incorporated into a field bank SSE-NW. The entrance (Wth 1.5m) is downslope through the inner bank only at WSW. Both banks are overgrown with scrub. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
