What is recorded here

Indicated is a broken earthen ring in Mayo pasture, its northern bank still proud while the eastern entrance has surrendered to grass and time. The protruding stones along the north arc suggest a rough kerb, hinting that the circle once held a threshold rather than merely marking empty ground. A farm road cuts past its north edge, binding the ancient fort to the living landscape and reminding the traveller that even forgotten boundaries still shape the land they touch.

In pasture, located on a low rise in undulating terrain. Raised circular area (23.6m E–W; 25.8m N–S) enclosed by a gravelly earthen bank (Wth 5.5m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 2m, at NW). The bank is best preserved on the N arc, where protruding stones may be remnants of a rough internal kerb. The bank is lower and degraded at NE–SE, with a break (Wth 1.7m) at E; the original entrance may have been on this side. At S-NW the bank is reduced to a low, broadly-slumped scarp.
