What is recorded here

Indicated is a vanished Cork ringfort, mapped in 1842 as a thirty-metre circular enclosure but lost entirely from the ridge above. It may have housed humans, hidden spirits or simply resisted measurement. The land kept its shape long enough for instruments to capture it, then took the form back.

On N side of ridge. Hachured on 1842 OS 6-inch map as circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m); N bank indicated on 1904 OS 6-inch map. No visible surface trace. Possible ringfort (CO124-024---) c. 220m to E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
