What is recorded here

Indicated is a much-degraded fairy fort in County Kilkenny, holding a thirty-metre circular space above the River Nore floodplain. Its earth and stone bank still rises one metre eighty outside and drops into a narrow external fosse, while a western gap invites entry beside a small northern pond and southern limekiln. The site feels less like a ruined human home than a threshold where ordinary land forgets its own boundaries.

In rolling grassland between terrace just above flood plain of the River Nore and steeper upper slopes. Circular area (diam. 30m) enclosed by much degraded earth and stone bank (Wth 1.5m at crest; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.8m) with external fosse (Wth 3.5m; D c. 0.4m). There is an entrance (Wth 3m) at W.
