What is recorded here

Half a font stands outside the east gable in Ballymagarvey, its square body twisting into a round basin as if the stone itself forgot which shape it should keep. Chamfered edges catch the last light before the church wall swallows them, and the broken form suggests a larger vessel once filled with water for new life. What is missing has not vanished; it has simply stopped being visible, leaving the remaining half to hold the memory of the whole.

In the graveyard (ME032-009001-), just outside the E gable of the parish church (MW032-009----). This is a large fragment of a rectangular sandstone font (dims 0.6m x 0.6m; max. H 0.5m) with chamfered angles and a circular basin (diam. 0.49m; D 0.27m). The side-panels are D-shaped as the stone morphs into a circular form at the bottom.
