Enclosure in Ballydun is a circular rath and spring beside the Kilkenny to Liss road, marked by a shallow ditch and a living well. It is the kind of place people built once, used often, and stopped naming. The ditch has faded into grass, but the water still answers the shape made around it.

According to O'Kelly (1969, 6) in Ballydun townland, 'There is a rath and spring at 570' immediately north of the road from Kilkenny to Liss cross-roads'. A cropmark of the fosse of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) is visible on satellite imagery (Digitalglobe, viewed 7 July 2020) c. 50m N of the road and there is a well immediately to the SE.
