Toberpatrick, meaning Patrick's Well in Irish, marked a small clear spring inside a tight grove where neighbours still walked rounding paths when Ó Danachair listened in 1955. The water may have touched ordinary lives long after formal devotion faded, sustaining tea, thirst, child fear or quiet pride in Patrickswell. Its name keeps Patrick present even when prayer thins, reminding that a well can belong to a place before it belongs to a church.
