What is recorded here

One chamber, four mouths, limestone bitten smooth. Coleman entered in 1942 and lifted out charcoal, fish shells, bone tools, bronze, iron, animal remains. The cave did not announce itself; it accumulated days. Heat, hunger, crafts, return. A ringfort nearby has been levelled until absent. The cave keeps what the field forgot.
