Grave Yard is a children's burial ground within a Galway ringfort, marked by the name lisheen and continuous use from the first survey maps through at least 1970. It is not a grand cathedral of death but a small, stubborn chamber where the village set its youngest losses beside the old wall. Even if some adult graves later joined the children, the name preserves the first purpose: a place set apart for the smallest lives.

Within a ringfort (GA082-011----). The interior has been in use as a graveyard since time of 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map. Though still in use for general burial in 1970 (Topgr.
