Fairy fort / ringfort in Ballybaun (abbey West Ed)

Ballybaun holds a faded circular cashel, thirty-seven metres across, where drystone walls still trace the shape of a forgotten fort. It sits barely a hundred and thirty metres from a larger ringfort, suggesting two separate households or perhaps a main hall and a smaller dependent place. The land boundary now cuts across the top of the ruin, turning ancient stone into a modern property line. People may have lived, argued, hidden or worshipped inside that circle before the wall collapsed into grass and memory.
