Indicated is a hazel-choked stone ring in County Clare, marked on maps since 1842 but half-swallowed by scrub and a steep eastern drop. Its broad earth bank still circles a space wide enough for a small herd or a dozen people, with a western gap that may have been the entrance. The site resists easy description because nature has reclaimed much of what human hands built, leaving only a vague oval shadow in the field.

Described by Westropp (1901, 284) as the, ‘foundation of an oval caher … in a grassy field east of Cahermore’ (CL005-094002-), but now overgrown with hazel scrub, with the ground falling steeply away to E. Indicated on the first edition (1842) and hachured on the later, Cassini edition (1916) of the OS 6-inch map. A moderately well-preserved subcircular enclosure (int. diams 26m E-W; 22m N-S) is defined by a broad bank of earth and stone (Wth 3-6m; H 0.8-1.1m) with a gap (Wth 3.6m) at WSW that may be the original entrance.
