Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballinaboy: circular earthworks in County Cork, Ireland, with a raised interior, bank, fosse and entrances. People may have lived, herded or marked territory there before the land became pasture. The name suggests locals also saw it as a dwelling place for fairy people, adding wonder to its shape.

In pasture. Circular, slightly raised area (52.9m N-S; 51m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.5m); external fosse (D 0.85m) to E, SW, W and NW. Gap in bank to E (Wth 2.5m) and WSW (2m); entrance (Wth 4m) to NNW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
