Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballagh (athlone North By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a subcircular area measuring 27m NE-SW and 24m NW-SE towards the bottom of a SE-facing slope. An earthen bank defines the ENE and S edges, reaching 5m width and 1.4m external height at the SE, while a slight scarp or low broad rise marks the remaining boundary. No visible fosse or identifiable original entrance survives, and two other raths lie within 200m to the ENE and S.
Towards the bottom of a SE-facing slope. Subcircular area (dims. 27m NE-SW; 24m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (at SE: Wth 5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.4m) ENE-S and a slight scarp or a low broad rise elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. Rath (RO045-086----) is c. 200m to the ENE and rath (RO045-227----) is c. 180m to the S.
