What is recorded here
No human body has crossed that place since the cameras stopped watching. The room is empty, the doors are sealed and the last recorded event remains unchanged. What you are told about the journey is complete. Whether the person lived, died or transformed cannot be known from the facts already given.
Discovered prior to road construction (Excavation Licence No. 00E0477). An area measuring c. 4800sq m was excavated (Chapple 2002, 210-12). A variety of different structures and phases of activity were identified. Two large boundary ditches (LH021-065001- and LH021-065002-), an industrial site (LH021-065003-), a hut site (LH021-065004-) and a kiln (LH021-065005-) date to the Early Christian period. Three structures (LH021-065006-, LH021-065007- and LH021-065008-) date to the Medieval period.
This structure (LH021-065008-) was found close to the two other medieval structures (LH021-065006- and LH021-065007-). Represented by a 6m long arc (Wth 0.4m; D 0.15m) with a projected int. diam. of c. 4.8m. A number of pieces of flint were found in the fill of the cut. (Chapple 2002, 212)
