What is recorded here

No visible chamber, no standing stone, no named owner. Only a shallow circular dip, a field fence across it, and three unexplained hollows. The fairies may have built it, or people may have forgotten it. In either case the land kept the shape of a room nobody entered.

Internal diam. 33.5m N-S, 31m E-W A circular univallate rath situated on a very gentle W facing slope, in the triangle of land that lies S of the Dingle to Tralee road, between 2 streams which flow S to Minard Bay. The earthen enclosing bank is up to 1.5m high externally and .75m high internally, but it has been almost completely removed along the NE quadrant. An 8m wide break in the bank at SE probably marks the location of the original entrance. A field fence bisects the enclosure N-S and the only other features visible in the interior are 3 depressions of uncertain origin. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
