Lisbeg is a subcircular rath in County Galway grassland, measuring forty-eight by forty-five metres with two banks and a central ditch. A five-and-a-half-metre gap marks the eastern edge, possibly the original entrance where people once entered the fort. The western outer bank has been buried under a later field boundary, hiding part of the shape but leaving the southern and northern curves clear in the rolling land.

In undulating grassland. This Nat. Mon. comprises a subcircular overgrown rath (N-S c. 48m, E-W c. 45m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The fosse and outer bank are present from E through S to N, and a field bank overlies the outer bank from SW through W to N. A gap (Wth 5.5m) at E could be original.
