What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ardleckna, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the top of a drumlin as a D-shaped grass-covered area measuring 55.5 metres east-west and 50 metres north-south. An earthen bank with bushes forms the northern and eastern edges, while a scarp defines the southern and western boundaries. A narrow outer fosse cuts through the northern section, and a field bank truncates the south-west perimeter without revealing an entrance.

On top of a drumlin. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 55.5m E-W; 50m N-S) defined by an earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 4m at N to 5.8m at ENE; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.2m) N-ENE which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.9m at E to 1.85m at S) E-S and W-NNW, with an outer fosse (Wth of base 3.2m; D 0.2m) N-NNE.
