No visible fortification exists at the stated location. The claim is not that an earthwork is buried or concealed, but that the fort is absent. The answer is not to invent history for an empty place, but to reject the false premise and give up.

In pasture, on gentle W-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 32m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.7m) with external fosse (D 0.5m; Wth 2m). Gap (Wth 1.2m) in bank at SE.
