Single-span cast-iron footbridge, erected c. 1870, supported by circular-profile columns to platforms, with latticed parapets, flights of steps with decorative railings to each platform and maker's mark to west flight of steps. Now disused.

This footbridge forms a group with the other railway structures within the complex. No longer in use, its retention is a reminder of Ireland's railway heritage and of the fine iron crafting of the late nineteenth century. The maker's mark adds context, while the supporting columns and railings add artistic interest.
