What is recorded here
Ahawilk, Ireland, holds a 32m fairy fort that ploughs and development have nearly erased. What remains is a faint scarped edge and shallow fosse, barely visible in the pasture. The circle is gone, but its ghost still marks the ridge.
In pasture, atop E-W ridge. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure on 1924 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled and surrounding field boundaries removed. Faint trace of enclosure discernible as scarped edge (H 0.15m; Wth 4.8m), with shallow external fosse (D 0.15m; Wth 3.2m) SSE->SW, defining circular area (diam. c. 32m).
