What is recorded here

Indicated is a levelled fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland, where a two-metre earthen bank still curves from southeast to southwest. The lost circle measured thirty metres across and appeared on maps before pasture and time erased most of its shape. What remains is enough to mark the boundary between human memory and fairy takeover.

In pasture, on gentle W-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; indicated as circular enclosure on 1904 and 1939 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; arc formed by substantial earthen bank (H 2.1m) survives SE->SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
