What is recorded here

Indicated is a faded fairy fort in County Cavan, Ireland, where a low earthen bank still surrounds a shallow circular basin. The entrance has vanished, but the ground rises toward the centre as if remembering the shape of hands that built it. People may have lived there, feared there, or simply passed by while believing the fairies owned the ridge.

Raised almost circular area (int. diam. c. 28m)enclosed by a much-denuded low earthen bank. An earlier report (OPW 1974) recorded traces of a shallow fosse at S and W. Original entrance not recognisable. Interior rises from the perimeter to the centre.
