Former Aghatubbrid Stone Ringfort — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

No wall, gate or chamber survives at Aghatubbrid, only a shallow levelled circle in Donegal grazing land above the Gleneely River. That absence makes the fort harder to dismiss, as if the stones were withdrawn rather than broken. It may have been a seasonal shelter, a boundary marker or a small defensive place whose name preserved longer than its masonry.

There is virtually no trace other than a levelled area to indicate the location of the single-ringed 'Fort' marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map. It was situated in grazing land just N of an area of bog above the Gleneely River. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
