What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort on high Offaly ground, a thirty-metre circle whose earthen bank and outer ditch still mark the edge of human memory. The NE entrance has vanished beneath dense overgrowth, closing the fort to ordinary measurement and perhaps opening it to another kind of knowing. Such places do not need maps when they remain alive in the body, remembered through pressure, breath and the sudden feeling of being seen.

Located on top of high ground in upland area. Circular area (30m N-S) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m) with external fosse (Wth 2m; ext. D 0.5m) with causewayed entrance at NE. Entrance impossible to measure due to dense overgrowth.
