Structure

Seven pieces of heavy brushwood (Wth 1.75m; D 0.6m), laid two pieces deep, in the peat face of a private bog adjacent to the Bord na Móna bog. The pieces are irregularly laid and widely spaced. Some pieces may have been displaced from their original positions. A deposit of brushwood and twigs is located c. 1m to the SW and one roundwood is located 0.4m below the site. Neither deposit is related to the site. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
