What is recorded here

Grave Yd. holds memorials from the early 18th century, possibly tied to a Dominican priory in County Longford. Rain has erased many names, yet the stones still mark buried lives from centuries ago. What was written there has vanished, but the shape of grief remains visible in the worn edges and silent rows.
Possibly associated with the Dominican priory (LF013-026002-). Memorials date from the early 18th century. However, Lennon (2005) suggests that 'many' of the memorials with now-illegible inscriptions may date to the 1600s. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 4 June 2013
