What is recorded here
Little Ballymena hides a man-made passage beside an ancient rath, twisting beneath the soil like a forgotten breath. The chamber may have served trade, ritual or flight, yet no written hand has named its first caller. Shadows still move through its dark throat, waiting for someone brave enough to ask what the stones remember.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH & Man-made underground passage(S). Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
