What is recorded here

Raesknowe is a medieval tower house in the Scottish Borders, still standing where human life first climbed its walls. The stone may have held lovers, prisoners, or lonely watchers, but no written name survives to confirm which. What is certain is that the tower resisted time, weather, and forgetting. It is a border place marked by endurance rather than display.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Raesknowe as Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
