U-plan rubble stone built quay and pier with flagstone and concrete paving to top, built c. 1800.
This pier and quay from part of a group of related maritime structures within Youghal and nearby, such as the former lifeboat station and other quays. They are of an impressively solid appearance and display well executed construction. They form an integral part of Youghal’s history and heritage and of their surrounding environment.
