Quay or wharf in Athy has old mooring bollards keeping company with mature trees above a vanished millrace. It looks as though somebody tied up a small forest, went for a pint and badly misjudged how long they’d be.
Limestone quay flags dating to 1860, with bollards and mature trees. This reclaimed land straddles site of former millrace.
