Quay, pier and walls, dated 1880. Drystone walls with clay bank forming rear (west) wall of quay, having carved date stone, and north wall of quay. Rubble stone facing to pier with cut limestone coping stones.

Cut stone coping stones evidence of skill of nineteenth-century stone cutters and stone masons. Interesting contrast provided by vertical emphasis of rubble stone used in drystone walls. While drystone walls with clay banks are common in the Midleton area, they are not normally associated with formal maritime structures.
