Seamus Crowley of Mallow Field Club identified a wedge-shaped promontory fort on the south bank of the Mealagh River in County Cork. The northern tip rises above a deep wide trench and two further bank-and-ditch lines, while natural woodland now swallows the entire earthwork. People may have built the ridges to catch river light or keep neighbours at a distance, but the trees have taken back the angles and the fort has become a hidden room inside the landscape.

This monument was reported by Seamus Crowley, Mallow Field Club, who described it as a wedge-shaped promontory (32m N-S; 9m E-W at N and 33m E-W at S) on the south bank of the Mealagh River. The N end is raised (7m E-W; 8m N-S) with a deep wide trench on its S side and beyond this a further two bank-and-ditch entrenchments. The entire site is covered by natural woodland.
