Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, installed c.1930, with raised "P&T" initials and maker's mark "W.T. Allen & Co. London". Set in rubble stone wall.
Increasingly rare as older post boxes are replaced, a notable example of a post box from the early days of the State. The decorative lettering enhances a functional item.
