Freestanding cast-iron pillar post box, erected c.1915, with moulded neck and domed cap with fluted edge. Road fronted on a corner site on footpath.

An attractive item of early-surviving mass-produced cast-iron, simple in design with decorative detailing to the cap. It occupies a prominent corner site and contributes to the historic flavour of the streetscape. It is unusual in that it has no cipher, suggesting that it was removed later.
