What is recorded here

Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, c.1950, having rectangular aperture and display panel with manufacturer's and Post Office inscriptions.
A well maintained mass produced post box which serves as a reminder of the post boxes which were produced following Irish Independence, as it lacks the British monarchic insignias which were found on pre Independence examples. Post-boxes of this time period are becoming increasingly rare.
