What is recorded here

Porthcurno Telegraph Museum was established on the site of a historic telegraph station that played a key role in global communications during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is important as it preserves the legacy of the undersea telegraph cables that connected Britain to the rest of the world, and was associated with figures such as William Henry Preece, a leading engineer in the development of telegraphy.
