Hella Point is a sea cliff composed primarily of Devonian slate, formed around 380 million years ago through the deposition and compression of marine sediments. The cliff is notable for its exposure of ancient metamorphic rocks that are part of the broader Cornubian Batholith, significant for their association with tin and mineral vein systems in the region.
