Pollokshaws Parish Church in Glasgow was built in the 19th century, with construction beginning in 1845 and completed in 1847, designed by the architect David Hamilton in a Gothic Revival style. It was dedicated to St John the Evangelist and reflects the expansion of church infrastructure in response to Glasgow's growing population during the Industrial Revolution.
