Old Pollok House stands beside Pollok Park as a medieval castle, dovecot, gateway, residence and well. It is one of Scotland's oldest surviving domestic buildings, still carrying the shape of early royal life. The stones have watched Glasgow grow from a small trading town into a noisy modern city. They have also watched people love the place, fear the place and forget the place.

Old Pollok House was built by the Pollok family in the 17th century and later expanded in the 18th century. It is important as a historic seat of the Pollok family and as a notable example of Scottish baronial architecture.
