PLATFORM RATH in Fassagh

PLATFORM RATH

What is recorded here

Mortars and bullets flew over Fassagh during the Long Kesh siege, yet the old platform rath still stands beside the conflict. It is not a display cabinet or a polished warning; it is a local anchor where memory, pride and patience collided. People still point to it because it refused to disappear.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
