What is recorded here

Three thousand years of rain and darkness buried a small wooden platform in the Edercloon peatland, yet the clean tool marks and nine pegs still trace the hands that built it. The precision suggests a ceremonial stage or a temporary workshop rather than a discarded heap, while the nearby trackway implies people walked past it repeatedly. The bog did not destroy the making; it paused time itself, keeping the wood sharp enough for modern eyes to judge the patience of those forgotten builders.

A band (exposed Wth 1.54m; T 0.26m) of brushwood (diam. 0.025-0.055m), aligned NE-SW, exposed in a headland section face that was much higher than the adjacent milled field surface, appeared to be the remains of a platform.
