On a level landscape. There is no visible evidence of pits at this location near rath (RO029-029001-) but a Lidar image (Davis 2015, 179, No. 68: 4) shows about 20 pit, largely aligned NW-SE in an area of about 10 acres (c. 4 ah.) to the E and W of the rath.
