Pier, designed 1823; under construction 1824; "finished" 1827; extant 1838, with irregular coursed cut-limestone battered walls having tooled cut-limestone coping. Set at entrance to Inishturk Harbour.

A pier erected for Richard Bingham (1764-1839), second Earl of Lucan, to a design by Alexander Nimmo (1783-1832), Engineer to the Western District (appointed 1822; replaced 1831), representing an integral component of the early nineteenth-century maritime civil engineering heritage of Inishturk.
