
What is recorded here
Situated on a natural rise surrounded by gently undulating grassland with good views of Lough Owel to the NE and SE. A raised circular shaped area (approx. diam 34m NE-SW) enclosed by a low earthen bank and external fosse. This fragmentary bank is visible from S-W-WNW and reduced to a scarp elsewhere. The interior has an appreciable slope from SW-NE and has traces of cultivation ridges which run in the same direction. A field fence with mature trees curves around the perimeter of the monument from W-N-NE.
