What is recorded here

In pasture immediately E of the townland boundary with Ballynamona. Barrow cemetery (LI049-072001/026-) lies immediately to S and SE. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised oval-shaped platform (dims. c. 32m NE-SW; 26m NW-SE) defined by a scarp with fosse from SW-N-NE. Truncated at S by a field drain running NE-SW and intersected at W by field boundary running N-S. Recorded in 1936 during a survey of the area undertaken by Ó Ríordáin (1936, 175). Outline of monument visible as a semicircular-shaped area defined by a scarp from W-N-E on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
