Partially hachured

Situated on a slight rise, in fairly level pasture, with good views all around. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as an oval-shaped enclosure annotated ‘Mullins Fort'. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as the arc (C 50m N-S) of an earthwork which is incorporated as a curvilinear field boundary (depth of curve 2.5m) from N-E-S. Monument described in 1979 as a partially levelled earthwork which is defined by an arc of bank which is incorporated into a field boundary from N-E-S. The perimeter is defined by faint traces of a low levelled scarp from S-W and is levelled from W-N. The interior is level and featureless. Monument is visible as an angle in a field fence on Digital Globe aerial photography, which represents the former curvilinear bank which appears to have been incorporated into a later field fence.
