What is recorded here
Situated on a small hill, in undulating pasture, with good views to W, restricted by higher ground in other directions. Monument described as a roughly circular-shaped area (diam. 41m) enclosed by an inner bank, an intervening fosse and an outer bank. The inner bank has several slight disturbance gaps. The shallow fosse is visible from N-NE and from SW-WNW. The outer bank is visible at N, E and S. The fosse and the outer bank are absent at W where the ground slopes downwards away from the site. The entrance (Wth at top 6.5m; Wth at base 2.1m) is at NE. The slightly uneven interior rises from the perimeter to a relatively flat central area. A rectangular house site (WM026-060001-) is visible in the centre. A possible Man-made underground passage trench was noted in 1979 in the NW quadrant.
