Old Grave Yd. in County Mayo, Ireland marked a children’s burial ground on maps from 1838 to 1920, but grass has erased every visible trace. The place may have held tiny bodies during fevers or birth losses, yet no stone remains to name them. Forgetting is not cruelty; it is the shape of grace.

Located in an enclosure (MA074-010001). Indicated as ‘Old Grave Yd.’ on the 1838 OS 6-inch map and as ‘Children’s Burial Ground’ on the 1920 edition.
